Burning Velvet breaks 12-months silence with new single and a new handpicked team of skilled musicians that marks a change in sound and style.

‘Standing In The Sun’ is being released May 25th as the first single from Burning Velvet’s upcoming album. The new album will be titled “Listen” and is due September 21st 2018. This time he has developed a dark and modern take on Americana – infusing the folky song structures with treated piano, synths, fuzz guitars, Mellotron, Omnichord, pedal steel and angelic female vocals – and shows us how it can sound in 2018.

Put your self in dark roadhouse-setting in blue, red and purple blistering stage lights. Dig into the first lush piano chords setting the vibe. Follow the understated funky click of a muted guitar evoking the mystery of a subway-band. Listen carefully to the words delivered by a dark male voice. Relieve your soul to the tones of a beautiful saxophone and a drowsy female background vocal. That is how we present the upcoming album and new sound from Burning Velvet.
